Happy Monday to everyone.
I want to thank everyone who participated in our Friends of StyleBlueprint Sale last weekend. It was a success with almost 50 consignors and over 1,000 items. A big thank you to Blessings in a Backpack, especially Beth Bush and Nikki Grizzle who helped to organize this in just one month’s time. An even bigger thank you to Mike and Connie Brooks, who let us invade their lovely home for the weekend with all these clothes, ladies, tags, hangers, shoes, purses and and and… oh my! Not to be missed, a huge overwhelming appreciation to all my friends that did the lions share of the staffing, tagging, checking out, organizing, Diet Coke providing, encouragement and free therapy. Thank you for making our first sale a great, quality event.
Let’s turn the page and talk about Derby season, shall we, because we are in the midst of it. Here’s what is happening this week.
Thursday, April 26, 8pm
Diana Ross
Diana Ross is performing at the Palace on Thursday night and for tickets or more information, click here.
Friday April 27, 6-10pm
Bacon Ball at LVAA
The what? The BACON Ball. Now this is something that you don’t have to drag your man to. He’ll be jumping in the car by 5:50pm to make it there in time to have bacon tastes from some of Louisville’s best restaurants: The Blind Pig, Proof on Main, Eiderdown, Hammerheads, the Silver Dollar and the New Albanian to name just a few. Guests get to vote on their favorite tastes of the evening. For more information, click here.
Saturday April 28
Mini-Marathon and Marathon
It’s here…the moment you have all been training for. (Well maybe you have been training but I sure haven’t). Best of luck to all the runners and it should be good weather (not hot this year) for your 13.1 or 26.2, so Godspeed to you all. It is too late to register, but I recommend going to cheer on the runners; trust me they appreciate every cheer and every clap! For more information, click here.
Friday April 27
Kentucky Derby Museum Gala
This is a premier Kentucky Ball and it is such an electric atmosphere there right before the Derby. I recommended a few outfits last month on what to wear, because besides seeing the famous celebrity jockeys, my favorite thing is seeing all the dresses. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
Derby season has officially started and is under way. Have a great week; this is the best time of the year to live in Louisville!
